1. Acceptance of these terms
By opening and reading any page of this site you agree to the terms set out below. If you do not agree with them, the simplest remedy is to close the tab — nothing here is gated, paid for or required.
2. What this site is
Fable & Fondant Candy Atelier publishes editorial content about artisanal confectionery: flavor guides, texture tables, technique explainers and illustrated features. The site is informational and cultural in nature. It is not a shop, a marketplace, a recipe-for-hire service, a cooking school or a source of professional advice.
Nothing on these pages constitutes an offer for sale. No prices are displayed because no products are sold here, and no transaction can be completed on this site.
3. Intellectual property
The articles, written text, page layouts, color systems and every illustration on this site were produced for Fable & Fondant and are protected by copyright. You may:
- Read, bookmark, print or save pages for your own personal, non-commercial use.
- Quote a short passage with clear attribution and a link to the page it came from.
- Share links to any page freely.
You may not:
- Republish substantial portions of an article or reproduce the illustrations as your own work.
- Use the Fable & Fondant name, emblem or page designs to suggest an endorsement, partnership or official connection.
- Sell, license or feed this content into a commercial product without written permission.
4. Acceptable use
When using this site you agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its host or its supporting infrastructure.
- Introduce malware, run automated scraping at a volume that degrades service, or otherwise interfere with ordinary traffic.
- Misrepresent your relationship with Fable & Fondant, including by impersonating editorial staff in correspondence.
- Use the content in a way that breaks the law in your own jurisdiction.
5. No transactions, no accounts
This site has no shopping cart, no checkout, no payment processing, no login and no user-generated content. We never ask for card details, passwords or identity documents, and any message that does is not from us. If you receive something claiming to be Fable & Fondant and asking for payment, treat it as fraudulent.
6. Availability and changes to content
We publish when a batch is worth writing about, not on a fixed schedule. Pages may be edited, expanded, retitled or retired without notice, and the site may be unavailable during maintenance. We make no promise of continuous availability.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
All content is provided “as is” for general information and reading pleasure. Cooking sugar involves very high temperatures and real risk of burns; you are responsible for your own kitchen safety, equipment and supervision of anyone helping you. See the editorial disclaimer for the detail.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fable & Fondant Candy Atelier is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site or from reliance on anything published on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by conversation will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Deschutes County, Oregon.
9. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the site evolves. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time you read it, and the effective date at the top of the page records the most recent revision.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms, permissions or reuse can be sent to fableandfondant.candy@gmail.com with “Terms” in the subject line.
